Hi, I'm having a problem with my laptop. When I attempt to shut it down (yes, shut down, not sleep, not hibernate, but shut down) it seems to shut down normally, but then it auto-restarts and an error screen comes up saying there is a BIOS error. I don't have the laptop with me right now and can't remember the exact error message, but I'll get it tomorrow and post it here then. I am unable to get the laptop to shut down from this point. The power button seems to restart it, which it does just fine; no problems there. But every time I try to shut it down, the same thing happens. Just closing the laptop doesn't help either. The laptop pretty much stays on all the time and I can't get it to shut down... EXCEPT when it is plugged in to a power source. Any idea? Please help. Thanks! I didn't find the right solution from the Internet. References www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/auto-restart-on-shut-down-with-bios-error-548960/intro videos
